Questions

What counts toward my vendor limit?
Vendor limits count active vendor businesses—not booths or staff logins. One vendor with several booths counts once.
What are Tag Reader scans?
A vendor photographs a price tag and the Tag Reader reads the item number, price and description for them to review. One successfully read tag counts as one scan. The allowance is shared by the market’s vendors, resets on the 1st of each calendar month (UTC) and does not roll over. Each new market also gets a one-time onboarding bonus (twice the monthly amount), used only after the monthly scans run out; it doesn’t reset or expire. Unreadable tags and retries of a failed read don’t count.
What doesn’t count as a scan?
Unreadable tags, failed requests and automatic retries don’t count. Typing items in and ordinary barcode/QR scanning at checkout are unlimited.
What happens if we run out?
The owner’s dashboard shows an alert at 80% and at 100% (no email is sent). When the monthly scans and any onboarding bonus are used up, Tag Reader scans pause until the 1st of the next calendar month; typing tags in still works — there are no automatic overage charges. Extra scan packs will be 1,000 scans for $25, bought only when the owner chooses to; purchased scans don’t expire and are used after the monthly and bonus scans. Buying packs isn’t available yet.
What if we go over our vendor limit?
You’ll see a warning as you get close. Before another vendor is activated past your limit, the owner is shown the next plan and asked to agree. Archived vendors keep their history and don’t count.
What costs extra?
Payment processing, hardware, postage, domain registration, email mailboxes and optional marketing email/text usage cost extra.
Do you take a percentage of sales?
No. Treasure Trove Tech adds no percentage-of-sales platform fee. Your payment processor’s fees still apply.
